Anti-Virus has no purpose. Task killer I'm against, but if you decide to keep one installed, disable the 'auto kill' function. Only use it to manually kill. Leaving it running in the background with free reign will eventually lead to problems.

Really, you guys are against Advanced Task Killer. That was actually the first app I downloaded, due to a couple of my friends suggesting it. I haven't noticed any problems within the first 48 hours of usage.

I remember typing win at the DOS prompt to load windows. That's right, you typed win because 3.1 was full of it.

This isn't Windows Mobile. Any apps that aren't being used after a while are closed automatically, unless you have a rogue app but that can be shut down anyways by going to menu>settings>applications>running services

I have ATK since I got my Droid, about two months ago.... Never had a problem with it.

What app won't I load? Any of the "home replacement" apps. Nothing but FC's with them when I tried them out. No AV programs either..

In general my Droid runs with little fuss.
