Wfi turning on and off

Recently, I've noticed that my home wifi on my Droid 4 keeps turning itself on and off. It alternates on and off frequently and it's hard to get anything done on the internet. I've tried turning my nighttime battery saver off, deleting and reconnecting to my router and deleting an antivirus app and neither of these things have worked. Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful.

How good is your signal to the router from the phone?

Do you mean "link speed"? If so, it says 54 mbps. It also says connected though even when I'm not. It's kind of like it blinks off for a few seconds like it's searching. I'm wondering if the router is faulty though all of my other devices don't seem to show any effects.
