G.Talk and Rom Manager

first off thank you for a wonderful rom, really nice. I have two issues and i am wondering if anyone has come across the same. Google Talk doesn't seem to sign me in fully. I can see all my friends but they are grey and messages do not send they hang and G.Talk says sending. Also ROM Manager is funny when it comes to Fix Permissions. Any thoughts? Thanx in advance.
