weird issue with gtalk

when I'm texting all my out going messeages stack up in order from top to bottom...my incoming messages stack together ON TOP of all my messages. When a message comes inm i have to pan up to find it....

What did i break?

I have seen this happen, try a reboot. I have seen this from one persons phone (mine) and a reboot fixes it. I have also seen this because of networks, have your chat buddy to reboot theirs if still disorganized, maybe reload the gtalk app.
