We have come so far in Android

At times we get so caught up with the latest and greatest that we can sometimes overlook where we have come. To think that at times there were certain apps that were a must to help add to what android lacked and yet now those apps are no longer needed. Examples of those apps were Dolphin Browser (to add touch to zoom), app/folder organizer (a way to group apps together in one folder without the ugly looking manila folder), or the controversial android task killer.
What are some of the "must have" apps you used on your Motorola Droid (or older android device) back in the day?

Button Savior Pro was a must have for me. It added on screen buttons so you didn't have to use the physical keys or in case they were broken.

MP3 Player app, as in local to my phone. With Google Play Music, Amazon Music, and Internet Radio, I no longer have to have extra memory to store MP3s and use an app to play them from local storage. Now I just stream them via data connection. So awesome. I guess this is less about where Android has gone and more about where music streaming has gone.

Using original swype when it first came out was the moment i stopped sliding out my keyboard on the D1...that lasted a whole, oh idk, 4 hours lol. Please bring back the keyboards, Please why wont someone bring back the keyboards. *sobs uncontrollably*

I can't remember the specific name of the app that I used for screenshots, but that's what it was for me. Now, Andoid allows screenshots natively and without needing to be rooted.
