Way to install and keep old Market?

I downloaded the new market. But hate all the movie and book stuff. It comes up in my searches when i only want apps. I can't filter. If i install the older app for the market is there a way to keep it when google updates everyone?

Just uninstall the update. I don't like the new version either. Just go in like you're going to uninstall it and you'll see a version to uninstall the update.

At last somebody else that does not like the new market. I was starting to think I was the only one.

You could try one of the themed markets that are floating around. Also if you don't want your old version to auto upgrade when Google pushes it, go into system/app/ and rename market updater.
