Water damaged phone + Phone with cracked screen = Franken Fascinate?

So I just took apart a water damaged sf, and I could buy a cracked working unit for next to nothing. My question is theres seems to be a small amount of white "corrosion" on the digitizer. How would I go about "cleaning" the screen + digitizer up a little or would out be necessary to create a franken fascinate from these two phones, picture coming soon

You can use some electrical cleaner on it.
