Watchmaker Working On Galaxy Watch 7 Series

One of the down sides to having the Galaxy Watch Ultra and 7 44mm was Watchmaker app no longer worked . Officially the developer and Google are trying to work something out but until then Android developers will be who they are .
If you have Wear Installer 2 , available on the Play Store , you have the tools needed to get things going .
Next you'll need to find the APK , available on many mirror sites . I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post any links or anything but Google is our friend and Reddit is a great source to choose from .
Follow the instructions on Wear Installer 2 .
A few caveats . Once installed if you choose Watchmaker as your face if choice you can no longer choose others without losing Watchmaker access . If you do lose it just grab Gemini Wear manager and uninstall it . If you want it back just use Wear Installer 2 to install it again . It's a 5 minute workaround but with the latest APK of Watchmaker you get full usage of the complications you put into your faces to go with everything else Watchmaker .
I have the techno and hacking skills of broken heating pad and I was able to do it in only 2 tries . Remember to turn on ADB Debugging and you'll not need a second attempt like me

Sadly, as of this week, Samsung has disabled the ADB command to set watch face service with their newest watch firmware update, thus this no longer works. The update also resets your watch face to default of course so you lose Watchmaker as the face. You can uninstall with Gemini and reinstall, however the command to set face service is ignored. If you do not do the watch update on the Ultra/7, you can still do this process. Had I known, I would never have said yes to the update but it did say security update so I did it. Very frustrated right now to be honest. Living with the 'best' faces on the Play store for now, which is to say, average at best with limited functionality.

Hopefully there will be a way soon to get back access to make commands work with update. I'm simple with my watch don't really use anything other than stock ones, I have found this Ultra 7 to be an excellent watch.

Welcome to the forum !
Wear 6 is pushing out for the 2024 Ultra and will be followed up by the GW7 then 6 then 5 . Don't know about of it'll be pushed to the FE or 4 though .
If you have Watchmaker app on your phone now back up any watches you don't have published or backed up now then delete the app on your phone , add it back (it's like a totally different app now) and also add Watchmaker app to your watch via the Play Store . Your existing account and all faces you've made and published are still intact and will work (though with limited functionality) on your Ultra .
Hope that helps . I'm reading 6.0 should be fully pushed globally to all watches by February 2026 . That's way faster than 5.0 pushed .
