I got a question about Warranty. I moved to Texas from Alabama can i go to a local verizon and swap my Droid out free of charge?

You can do that no matter where you live, as long as it is a manufacturer defect. If its insurance your talking about, that is presumably Assurion, a 3rd party insurance through verizon. With them you have to file a claim online and you will mail your phone in once they send you a new one.
