Wake up phone

Is there an app / other way to wake up the phone? I have the plastic case around the phone and pushing the power button is a hassle.
A double-push on the joy stick would be cool, or shaking the unit!
Any ideas???

which case are you using? You could take an exact-o knife and trim the area around the case carefully to provide enough space to easily hit it. I've had to do that in the past with previous phones

Hummm . . cutting the case. I would hoping for a more technically elegant solution. any idea if Froyo will allow programming other buttons to wake up the phone???

From what im seeing on froyo no their will not be a stock feature to wake the phone with otheir buttons but what htc might add is anyone's guess but i would think not.
