Congrats, I got mine too from best buy just a couple days ago. I was amazed I got it completely free, just had to extend my contract and since I was due for a full upgrade. Enjoy. It's a great phone.

Got mine from best buy a couple of days ago. Check your areas current plan options. The gave me a better deal than Verizon was gonna.

Is it true you sign a contract with vzw and bestbuy? I've heard tons of different things but nothing solid.

I have verizon and was due for a new phone....I've never had a smartphone....and had read such good things about the phone...and best buy had it for free. I did have to extend my contract for 2 years, and add a data plan, but the phone was "free".

Well, the reason it's free is they no longer make the DI and they want to get rid of what they have in stock. They don't make a lot of money off the phones anyway, they make their money in service contracts.

The DI is a great phone so I'm not saying you're not getting a good deal. It's just that there are reasons why they do these things. So in the OP's case they made money by extending her contract and selling data service.

Still like I said a great buy. Congratulations.

i got mine free at best buy,came from att,ported number.
2yr contract, i figured i got a 600.00 for free and a better service
and unlimited data which att doesn't sell anymore,i also
bought the extented warrenty from best buy so if anything
happens i get a new phone not a refurb.let me know if someone
thinks i made a mistake,i'm still in my 30 day return, but when i called
vzw they could not offer me the same deal.
