VZW Free Mobile Security App. Thumbs up ? or down ¿

I installed this app. It's free and seems to offer some degree of security, as it has warned me of some links in news stories that could prove dangerous.

Is it really ok/good or is there a smarter option I'm not aware of?

I recommend Avast! or Lookout. Both offer great security and Avast! also includes free remote location, locking, and wiping.
