Volunteer wanted to post the prices of data plans and cost of Galaxy.

Does anyone want to volunteer and put together a buyers guide to the carriers, (Verizon, Sprint, ATT and TMobile) showing how much a Galaxy cost to purchase, activate, and the cost of the data plans?

Thanks hookbill. A paid employee did it for us.

I think they left off one item of importance and that would be the cost of additional data if you go over your limit. They also list something called "Hotspot/Tethering." Can anyone explain what Hotspot is? Is that free WIFI? And regarding tethering, what do they mean by that?

Another error. You can buy a Galaxy with Verizon at Costco for $500 plus tax, $35 activation fee (which is waived if you keep the unit and charged if you return the unit), and a minimum data plan of $20 for 1GB for at least one month plus tax as compared to the $600 Verizon store plus tax fee,

Using your device as a hotspot allows it to act as a host for wireless internet. With your device activated, other devices can connect to it allowing them to access internet.
