I think there needs to be dine tuning when it comes to the volume. Especially when it comes to the side controls, it's either too loud or too quiet.

don't know if you are aware, but if you go into settings>sound>volume and uncheck "use incoming call volume for notifications", you can set the notification sound and ringtone to different levels. helped me a little since the sound level on my ringtone seemed to be lower than my notification sounds.
