Voice Search has slowed considerably

I bought the droid 2 days ago...yesterday and the day before i would hit the search microphone button then talk into it and the droid would recognize my voice as I talked then the website or call would pop right up....As of last night and this morning I hit the search microphone button and it takes 15 to 20 seconds to recognize that I say something then it searches and comes up...

anytime i have an operating problem, the first thing i do is a REBOOT.
