I keep it off. I can hear people better. I'm not worried about anyone listening in on my super important life or death conversations haha. Its up to you though. If you feel better with it on, then keep in on

i think it makes it so that the other person cant hear what happens in the background but someone told me it didnt, i also heard that it changes yr voise so idk help.:heart:

Voice Privacy has nothing to do with background sound, call volume, or clarity. All this does is encrypt the RC4 CDMA key so it would be more difficult for someone with a scanner to eavesdrop on your calls.

Turning it off or on will have ZERO effect on call quality.

Hilarious how there is no option to make the call quality better but there is one to foil people using scanners to eavesdrop on you.

If on froyo, you can change the vocoder setting in the ##program menu. It doesnt seem to be available on gb. This is the only method i've seen to improve call quality.

You actually can change vocoder in GB. ##program, then test menu, next, next change to EVRC-B.
