Voice Dialer since (July 2010) update

Has anyone given the Voice Dialer a try since the latest update (week of 7/17)? I just tried it, didn't seem to work. I also tried Choice Dialer Free, worked perfect. I've been using this for quite a while now. I guess as long as I have something that works.

* Now if they would just give us a decent voice-to-text...

I have tried using the voice dialer with terrible results. I was not aware of an update. Is it automatic or do I have to look for it.

My voice for the maps application works great. I am not sure if they are related??

I loaded the Choice Dialer Free and it seems to work better than the stock dialer. Still some issues, but it may have to do with dupes in my directory??
