Visual voice mail and google voice not working

Im having an issue with visual voice mail everything sets up fine and it will show me who called and how long the message is but when i click on the message it pulls up the playback screen and says voice mail not downloaded properly. Google voice says it cant verify my phone number, let me mention ive tried this on both the 2.2 nandroid update that is rooted and also Flyx rom and have the same issue on both, any ideas
