Is it just me or have rockplayer experienced slowdown and lag.

I tried playing an MKV file but it was so laggy, i then converted the file to MP4 and it ran smooth as butter in gallery.

I need a good WMV to MP4 converter. iTunes won't let me import my Digital Copiest that came with my Blurays. Windows of course did but they won't play on the DX. I thought the DX supported WMV but I suppose I'm wrong again. Sooooooooo, I need a WMV to MP4 converter that is free and good and effective. Please help.
