Video and Photo transfer problems

Im trying to transfer some photos and video to my laptop. I downloaded the v cast media manager but all the folders are empty. My phone is in Disk Drive mode. I tried going to my computer to access the folder directly which I understand would be the DCIM folder but im getting an error message

h:\dcim is not accessible.
the request could be performed because of an i/o device error.

Sorry I can't help. I downloaded a 308 page manual. I read the chapter on photos, but my Incredible doesn't do what the manual said it is supposed to do. I hope you get an answer. I will check on your post periodically. - Joe
