vibrator dies out?

I don't know if my phone had this issue before, or if its a common thing with dinc2s. Today I have heard the alarm in my phone going off while on vibrate. It started buzzing pretty strong, but then I could hear it getting weaker and weaker. It barely vibrated by the time it reached automatic snooze. I tried checking it by calling my phone on vibrate and it happens every time. Is it normal? The vibrate on this phone is not that strong as it is, and when its dies out like that its impossible to feel.
