Vibrate functioning incorrectly

I had go launcher installed and loved it. However, my battery got really low (below 5%) and go managed to change all my settings to conserve battery life instead of powering down the phone. It basically activated airplane mode and shut off the vibrate function at the same time. This is all good and great however after charging my phone completely, I noticed my phone won't vibrate when I get messages anymore. It vibrates normally with key presses and when I get a phone call. All seems normal except for text and SMS messages. Even in silent mode. I uninstalled go to try to get the normal settings back but still no success. In addition, I did check all the settings to make sure the settings are activated. Any thoughts?
