A picture of a new Verizon bound Motorola device just hit the web, and it could be our first glimpse of the Moto X+1. The device box has the model number XT1096 emblazoned across it, as well as a Verizon demo unit warning label.

At the very least, this obviously means a new Motorola device is headed to Big Red. Whether it is the Moto X+1 or something else is still up in the air. It's even possible that it will be called something else entirely, especially considering that Verizon likes to rename devices on their network.

What do you guys think it could be?

I just got a OnePlus and I'm leaving VZW... But I'm STILL excited for this.

I doubt it's the X2. More likely the next version of the Droid line. No way a tablet, that's a pen sitting next to it.

It is around the time of the year that Moto / Verizon normally announce the new "Droid" lineup. Could be that?

There's no usual time. Actually the historic release of droids has been every ten months. It's been a year. So they are late.

I just hope it's 3gbs or 4gbs of ram with x8.

Sent from my unlocked consumer edition Motorola Droid Maxx xt1080m.
