Make sure that your balance with Verizon is paid before you sell them or the new buyer will be unable to activate them. Verizon will not activate a phone that was on an account that has an unpaid balance.

Once your account is suspended, your phone is useless. You will go to collections, you will pay what is past due and ETF fees. You will have your credit ruined. If you try to sell your phone on eBay and don't tell them, then they will have a brick because the phone cannot be reactivated.

This I know for 100% sure because I once worked for VZW in a call center. Since this thread is teetering on dishonesty and deception, I am shutting the thread down.
