Verizon Network Extender - Droid 3g Upload Speeds

I just got the new Verizon Network Extender that does 3g. Everything is working great except for the upload speeds. I'm getting 30-50kbps upload and sometimes it will just lock up on the speedtest.net app when it is doing the upload test.

I've done some googling and I see that some people have this problem but most are getting 800kbps up.

Anyone know what to do? I'm literally 2 ft away from the extender.

I might add that I'm running TimeWarner Turbo - 30mbps down and about 1.6mbps up according to speedtest.net on my desktop.
