Last night the internet was abuzz! Verizon was left crying as developers managed to create several different methods of applying the leaked unsecure bootloader for the Galaxy S3! Adam Outler of XDA created a supper easy application that did all the work for you however it was for Linux and Mac only. There was a manual method floating around but it required typing a few commands in adb which isn't a big deal for most folks but could be scary for anyone new to Android modding. Today the guy who developed EZ-Recovery decided to make a super easy method for unlocking the booloader as well. Developer "MMMEFF" has put together an app for that. Simply grab the app from the playstore link below. Install and click the big "UNLOCK" button. It doesn't get any easier than this folks!

It should be noted that you must be rooted in order to use this app.

Grab it here

its almost hard to believe it this easy!!
Before it was download this, download that, reboot 3 times etc. Now its just a tap of the screen and its done? And it works? Hats off, truly amazed! :hail:
Now all i have to do is wait for an official cm10! (i'm to chicken to try anything unofficial...lol)

I'm new to rooting and all. I plan on doing it to my s3. My question is how do you know what version to root to. I see a lot of CM10. Which I'll probably use. Is this the most common and why? What other ones are there. I figured I'd ask here because I'm sure all is you know about this stuff.

Cm10 is a Rom, not root. Search the forum for rooting the gs3. Requires Odin. Real simple though.

Root.
Unlock bootloader.
Install Rom.
Live life to the fullest.

I know it's a Rom. But everyone uses all different kinds of versions. I've read up on them some I just don't really know why this one is special compared to this one. I guess CM10 once official and not a test version well be a safe one to use.

So why does this app say it IS compatible with my RAZR? I wouldnt dare try it mind you.... however it does make me wonder if a few tweaks of this app would make it work for other devices as well.

Kudos to the DEVS.

downloaded and ran on rarz maxx and it says it worked, and the app indicates unlocked but not sure if its just confused, and not sure how to check if it really worked

The fact that it says the exact same thing when you do it on a razr, makes me kind of weary that this actually works. It's supposed to be designed for gs3. ...can anyone report back add to the validity of this tool?
