Verizon Droid X can it work on SA Networks CellC

Hi there i am going to import a Verizon Droid X from USA......i friend is Offering me his Droid X....now i am sitting in South Africa.....i use Cell C Network.....My Question is will it work on Our Network in South Africa.....or must it be Root to work.....please your assistance is greatly and Much appreciated....

Technically as long as its a CDMA network it can work there. The question is there a way to flash it to that network. You might have to talk to their tech support about it.
