Verizon's 4G LTE is going through another growth-spurt. The high-speed network will be entering 33 new markets and expanding in 32 additional markets starting on July 19th. Here's a big long list followed by a press release:

On July 19, Customers in 33 New Markets – For a Total of 337 Markets – Will Have Access to the Nation’s Fastest 4G Network
BASKING RIDGE, N.J. – Verizon Wireless, owner of the nation’s largest 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, today announced that, starting July 19, its 4G LTE network will be available in 33 new markets and expanded in 32 other markets, and that the company is on track to meet its goal of covering more than 400 U.S. markets by the end of 2012.
“Our rollout of Verizon Wireless 4G LTE in the United States is on track and we are confident we will meet our target of providing 4G LTE to our customers in more than 400 markets by the end of the year,” said Nicola Palmer, chief technical officer of Verizon Wireless. “With more markets than all other U.S. wireless providers combined, our customers are the first to learn of the great advantages of the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network for streaming video, downloading files, uploading pictures and so much more, at consistently reliable fast data speeds.”
New and Expanded Markets
The new market launches will bring the total number of markets covered by Verizon Wireless to 337. In real-world, fully loaded network environments, 4G LTE users should experience average data rates of 5 to 12 megabits per second (Mbps) on the downlink and 2 to 5 Mbps on the uplink. When customers travel outside of 4G LTE coverage areas, devices automatically connect to Verizon Wireless’ 3G network, where available, enabling customers to stay connected from coast to coast.

So the last list was a lie then? I don't see any mention of expansion in the capital district of NY, yet there was last time a list for 7/19 was posted.

This info (and the last one) is missing something: As of this past weekend (Monday specifically?) - Missoula, MT has 4G!!! :biggrin::biggrin:

I know this suppose to help df users but it feels DF and DL does more promoting for vzw 4g expansion then vzw.

For all their expanding its sure seem to get less and less of a 4G signal.

I've actually stopped getting a 4G signal in places where I used to always get one.

they are expanding their pockets coverage not cell service. LOL
