Vehicle charger for Razr Maxx

I know this sounds strange, but any proper recommendations for a vehicle charger for long trips? I don't want to get something that may harm the battery. Does the universal charger from Verizon meet specs?

I use the universal Verizon dual charger. It's cheaper on Amazon. It had no problem keeping up on my Nexus. Have not taken a road trip yet with my S3.

Beware of cheap "Made in China" products!
That being said, everything is made in China today! Just some being better quality than others!!!
Walmart has a 12 volt "Rayovac" dual port USB charger for only $6.99. 2 amp rated!
Pep Boys has a Duracell one for $9.99!
I have both and they work great. No problems working on my Bionic and my friends iPhone.

Edit : my friends kid took my "Belkin" one for his car a while back lol, that one cost me $20

I use the Vehicle Dock with Rapid Charger. The cable shorts out and the sound quality on my Pandora degrades. I'm assuming this also has a negative impact on charging, as well. I'm about ready to call for a replacement.
