Is there any differences in chargers? Some are going for $29.99
and then there are some as low as $3.47 or $0.77. i know you get
what you pay for - but sometimes in the advertisers pictures the chargers
look the same. And they all state that the charger has a feature or chip
to prevent overcharging.

What-up-wit-dat! )=(

I know this. It's not a chip in the charger that keeps Droid battery from overcharging it's the battery itself.

Key to the battery charger is to get one that has the same specs as the original.

I bought a Rocket Fish....it's nice because it comes with a wide variety of connectors so I can use it with more than just the Droid.

EDIT: If you already have a car USB adapter just use the cable that came with the phone.

Some they just want you to pay more then they are worth. Some are just higher rated cables then others. I know i bought mine and it was like 5$. It was a motorola car charger for something else, but works 100% fine with the droid.

I bought mine for under $10 shipped on Amazon (from a 3rd party cell phone seller), and it is the OEM Motorola charger that you pay $20+ for at Verizon or Best Buy.

I also got the $10 OEM from Amazon.
Its a combo pack of two.i love it.
Comes with AC & car charger

spend money so you dont fry you droid.

You could do this:

Monoprice.com - USB Car charger

And this:

Monoprice.com - USB to Micro USB 1.5ft

A co-worker ordered several of each and gave me one. I have it in my wifes car, works fine. I don't use it a lot though. I had an iGo charger in my car already so I just bought another tip for it.

Amazon is a great place to look though. They have OEM Verizon stuff for cheaper than the stores offer it. I just got a Seidio Innocase & holster for $40 instead of the $50 they charge on their site.
