I read something in the changelog concerning the supercharged script. Is there any reason to run the V6 script on MIUI?

Read the first post in the rom thread for the add ins and changes...there is already a script enabled I believe...running more could possibly be counter productive.

It all depends on how you use your phone. If you like running tons of apps at once then going with the regular multitasking option is better, if you hate lots of running apps then the aggressive option might be better

What about maps running all the time? Is there a reason it should constantly?

Its in the coding of the app, some apps just try to run all the time and many have "tags" of when to start up automatically, main ones being upon boot, after installing/uninstalling an app, disabling/enabling 3g/wifi/airplane mode...
I use an app called fast reboot to kill those apps when they do that (the app doesn't actually reboot the phone)
Even then a couple apps are still persistent (dsp manager and maps) so you have to just go to manage apps and force close them
