Using Apps for Droids

I just got a Droid 2 Global and I'm wondering if most of the apps that run on the Droid and Droid 2 will also run on Droid 2 Global. For instance, I used a Golf GPS app on my last phone and I wanted to install on Droid 2 Global. However the app website doesn't specifically list the Droid 2 Global. Should I just try downloading the Droid app and trying it? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

almost all apps will work on your phone. very rare cases you will see an app in the marketplace that says it won' work on certain phones but you should be fine.
