Use 1 Year MFR Warranty without a Data Plan?

I have a Galaxy Note II which doesn't charge or transfer data anymore by micro usb connection. Sometimes it works but most of the time it doesn't. It's as if something is loose with the motherboard inside. I don't have a data plan with this device so i assume i can't use the 1 year manufacturer warranty with my cellular provider. Will have to go through Samsung to use the warranty? Could it possibly be something i could fix myself?

if you bought it from your cellular provider it should still be under warranty. i dont see any reason why not having data would affect the warranty.

Depends on the carrier. If it's Verizon Wireless then they should be able to help you with it so long as it's within the first year. Just take it in to the store. If it has been over a year (don't recall when they were released) then you would need to have the Verizon Extended Warranty for them to cover it.
