Usb tether?

Looking for a d2 rom or program compatible with froyo that can use usb tether. The market is slim and most apps are to activate the native froyo component that wasremoved by moto. Any help appreciated if I missed something.

I use Easy Tether from the market to tether my phone to this desktop when Huges net does not respond fast enough. It works great with 2.2 or 2.3. Is this what your are asking about?
