USB charging

My job prohibits plugging in usb storage devices on their computers for security reasons. So, I need to figure out how to charge via usb without the computer recognizing the phone as an external storage device. I've set the phone to charge only mode for usb, but that doesn't seem to help, my computer still sees that it is connected. I've also turned the phone off and then plugged it into the usb, however the phone gets automatically turned back on when plugged into the usb. Any suggests would be really helpful.

Thanks

If the only reason you're connecting via USB is to charge, why not plug the wall charger into an outlet? If you have no outlet, you can just get one of these. Seems better than trying to thwart your company's security procedures.
