I hate to say it but try a FDR. It's crazy odd the battery displays with the phone off and charging.... sounds like a driver issue almost...... very weird how fast it spread through the screen. But since we can't get into it just to delete apps the best move before opening the case is a factory reset..

I would also do a Factory Data Reset. That way you can rule out software.
