There are several apps I don't use on my Motorola Bionic that were pre installed on my phone. Some are gone since Ics update and some I was able to delete. My question is the one I'm stuck with should I be updating them when a update is available or just leaving as is. Is there a difference in memory doing the update. Will my phone use more battery telling me you have a update what. Info would be great , these apps are sometimes the only reason play store tells me I have a update.

What are the apps that are telling you about an update?

Anything from crash fixes to new version... bla bla blah. The are just apps I don't use so I don't bother with them. Just didn't know if it would make a difference.

I viewed some of the other places where you posted and saw about the disabling of the apps would this be the answer, or a solution

Yes, disabling them would be the solution. You might have to uninstall any updates before the Disable button appears.
