updated my droid and lost root and now cant reroot

I recently installed the latest update pushed to me phone without thinking and lost root. now I cant root it again. i try the utility and have everything set the way it needs to be but it says it cant find the specified device..any ideas??

Try uninstalling the device and drivers from your computer and then reinstalling the drivers and let the computer detect your phone again.
