Up key not working

The key on the side of the thunderbolt...up down rocker no longer will work on the up portion. It feels different. With the battery off you cant see anything obvious. No drops or water damage. I've tried pulling the battery to reset with no luck. Short of a new phone....any suggestions. Phones only 7 months old or so

Are you talking about any keys on the far left or right side of the screen?
