Uninstalling apps

If I want to uninstall an app, should I go to the market & do it or should I go to settings on my phone and go to manage applications to do it there? I wanna know the best way to do it. Please & thank you

I usually do it through Manage Applications so I can clear any cache and data the app is using first, but I don't think it really matters.
