Uninstall VZ Navigator

I had been thinking of uninstalling VZ navigator from my Droid X until I saw a lot of articles against it. Then I found this article that claims a method for successful uninstall.

Q1 - Are there any pitfalls to this?

I have it frozen via Titanium and all seems fine.
