Unable to back-up Droid 1

I have successfully rooted a Motorola Droid 1 and now as I am trying to flash a new ROM to the phone I cant complete the back-up.
When opening ClockworkMod Recovery I press Back up phone and click okay, then the phone reboots and I guess when it tries to enter the recovery menu, it throws an error because all it gives me is the white triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle.

You might be in stock recovery and not clockwork, try flashing rzrecovery and see if that works.
