UK Milestone MMS troubles!

Hi all, I'm in a bit of a pickle where MMS is concerned and hope you can help!

I have a UK Milestone (via Expansys) on a T-Mobile contract. I cant for the life of me get MMS to work.

I have spoken to T Mobile UK to get the correct settings but there are fields in the options within Android that they didn't give me the info for and likewise, info they gave me which I don't have a field within which to put it!

I have tried using Handcent to get round this to no avail.

If anyone has managed to get this going I'd be very grateful if you could share the settings with me and put an end to this nightmare. At the moment it asks me to go on-line with a password which, frankly, is a pain in the arse.

I'm sure I cant be the only one faced with this challenge?

Hey,

sounds like you never send an MMS from that sim card right?
Some Simcards first have to be activated for MMS. usually that is done with SENDING AND
RECIEVING an MMS. Then it takes like 2 hrs,and works from there.

Thats right, I did try sending a picture to myself earlier but cancelled the message after it didnt send in over 20 mins.

I will try again and just leave it indefinately. Out of interest I dont suppose anyone has the correct APN settings required?

Sorry,

the only help could be provided would be from your carrier,
they should know about MMS issue .... did you call them?

thanks for that. I still cant get it working T-Mobile arent much help either to be honest. The settings they gave me are below...

profile name: t-mobile picture message
homepage server: http://mmsc.t-mobile.co.uk:8002
proxy ip: 149.254.201.135
proxy port : 8080
maximum message size: 300kb
APN: general.t-mobile.uk
username: user
password: one2one

Do these match others on T Mo in the UK?

Thanks to Dayzee at the Motorola forum I finally go this sorted! for those that need the combo to the codes here you go!

Create a 2nd APN as follows...

Name = T-Mobile UK mms
APN = general.t-mobile.uk
Proxy = not set
Port = not set
Username = t-mobile
Password = tm
Server = not set
MMSC = http://mmsc.t-mobile.co.uk:8002
MMS Proxy = 149.254.201.135
MMS Port = 8080
MCC = 234
MNC = 30
APN type = mms
