UD 9 is coming

i have been using Cyanogenmod for a long time ... I would like to see what all of the hype is about! I never have used UD before ...if any has tried CM6 and UD what are your thoughts on comparing the two? thanks for any feed back

For me they are both stable. They both have different options and features, but UD has a bit more in that department. As far as speed, I can't see a noticeable difference. BOth fly on my phone.

I feel like UD8 and CM6 are pretty much the same for me. They both run pretty much the same on my phone and their options menu's are exactly the same except for UD's customization features. Ultimate has the rotary lock option which is simple but awesome in my opinion. Cyanogen however has the new extended power widget which is a deal breaker for me. I sure hope BD puts this in UD9 man...

I liked the old UD shut down menu rather than the new imported one, no need to boot to bootloader?

And no...I am not whining...I'd love to learn how to create roms because then I could just tailor a rom to my liking and call it a day.

I can't get Swype to work on this ROM. Yes, I have followed instructions about uninstalling all prior swype installer and data files, etc. but no go.

It does work on SS48.

Yeah i liked that power widget also(its seemed like live wallpapers thought not used much anymore) but extended controls or power widget both do pretty much anything you need. in the market both cheap than you always have them for any rom you want to run.
Not sure about theming side of this.
also i heard the boot to bootloader was gonna be removed well see.

Mine keeps giving me screen size mismatch popups. I think that there are different versions floating around the net.

The options are still there. When you choose reboot it brings up a second menu where you can choose bootloader etc.

BD makes ROM's as fast as the rest of us combined make themes. Not a bad thing but I sincerely wish he would give (us) the themers, a template to work with.

I'm with ya on that man... I have thought that from the start, give the themer's the rom first that way when he drops the rom we have themes and rom all at once.

Nice. I'm trying out SS4.8 now, but i'm itching to get back to UD. Told myself I would just wait until UD9.0. I'm in no hurry though.
