I have A LOT of text I'm trying to delete. I have an Eris. I'm trying to delete multiple threads/contact conversations. It either takes mine more than an hr or doesn't do it. If I delete 1 at a time it takes like 5 to 10 min?? But ill try to delete multiples and have it ride beside me Playin Xbox. It just shows the loading sign forever.


Also in manage apps there's A LOT of stuff in there and idk what I can do without...I don't wanna delete somethin the phone needs....

I moved you here because I really don't think you'll get much help in the General Discussion thread. I don't know anything about the Eris and text messaging deletions but hopefully someone will come along to give you a hand.

Relig, managing messages on the eris sucks. There is a tip I read about somewhere (Sorry I cant give anyone credit for this!)
Plug in your phone
Set the screen timeout to never
Put your phone in airplane mode
Start deleting your conversations
Go to bed
Check in the morning.
