Does anyone know how to turn on and connect a paired headset without having to go through Settings everytime?

i leave my bluetooth on all the time and it hasnt affected the battery. or if you want to turn if off and on, you can use the power widget, then as long as the paired bluetooth device is on it will connect(aleast mine does).

If I turn my Bluetooth headset off and back on it will not connect without going through settings and Bluetooth settings.

mine connects whenever its on, dont need to do anything in settings.

does it unpair everytime? or do you just have to go into settings and tell it to connect.

It stays paired but I have to connect everytime.

yea mine connects from time to time but usually have to go in and do it

I set up a shortcut on my homepage for Bluetooth

Hold a vacant spot on the home page
Select Shortcuts
Select Setting
Select Bluetooth

This will put a Shortcut icon on your home page

The way is to:

Hold a vacant spot on the home page (as Don mentioned)
Select Widgets
Select Power

This will add a bar with 5 buttons. One of those controls Bluetooth. Press it either turn it on or off.

That is a nice widget, but I need to get to the Bluetooth connection icon to search for my ear phone.

I see your problem. Of course, my Bluetooth is built into my car. All I need to do is turn it off and on from the phone. It doesn't need to search. Your suggestion would allow for that.

There is an app for that ..called WIFI on/off ...check it out ..and its Free!!

That's true, and works great. The Droid has that already, though. It's one of the things the Power widget controls. I think the one you mentioned was made for pre V2.0.

Thanks for mentioning it. It's smaller than the Power widget.
