TubeDroid WHAT A GREAT APP

I cant believe that this app is out there. It downloads videos in HQ to your phone so you can watch youtube video's anytime you want, or if you just want the audio, it adds it to your music player. anyone else using this great app?

I downloaded this the other night. So far, I love it. Trying to find quality vids on youtube, that's another issue.

Why should I pay for this, when I have a You Tube icon sitting on my screen and I can watch any video I want from You Tube any time I want? If there is a reasonable answer I'll purchase it.

From what the OP said it seems like you can download the video to your phone, or just download the audio and have it in your music app. Lets you watch or listen to videos while you may not have an internet connection. Also you wont have to search and load it every time.

If you do a google search there are web pages which will take a youtube url and download the video or just the audio for you. You could then transfer those to your phone. You may even be able to run the conversion right on the Droid browser. Have not tried that.

I haven't tried this app, but an alternative to download youtube videos:

Go to youtube, at the bottom choose desktop version, find your video, copy the address.

Then open www.keepvid.com past the address, click search, then choose download HQ.

I've been doing that for a couple years works great.

With Dolphin (didn't check with the stock or other browsers) if I visit Youtube and click on a video link I'm given the option of opening it in the android Youtube app or downloading it to my phone.

That takes care of the "offline viewing" option right there for me.

Less font please..... WOW that was liked I was being yelled at even though it was not in CAPS.

You will need a conversion program on your PC to make the file a compatible format for a DVD/CD player. Most DVD or CD players will not support the MP4 format that the Droid is supporting. Have you tried to get the same video from your computer and then putting on CD?
