Trying to create home screen shortcut to notifications pull-down...

Hey all, need some help here!

I'm trying to create a shortcut on my home screen to my notifications pull-down... (reason is - I'm hiding my ugly blue notifications bar via Launcher Pro Plus... but I'd like to click one button on my home screen to view my notifications panel. Not a fan of hitting Menu > Notifications...)

Anyone have a solution? I haven't found a method built into the phone yet, but I'm willing to download an app to do it. In fact, Launcher Pro Plus allows youto create custom shortcuts, but I don't know the "action" (i.e. "android.intent.action.MAIN") or any of the other information available to input (string, data, etc).

HELP! SOS! Lol :)

Can't wait the bootloader is unlocked & the dev community goes ham on this phone... JRrummy's pink-life theme would look SO BEAUTIFUL on my Bionic!!! :D

I'm not sure if launcher pro plus has swipe actions, but in adw.ex, I just set swipe up gesture on a homescreen to hide/show the notification bar. When i want to check notifications, it's an efficient swipe up at the top of the screen followed by an immediate swipe down to show all notifications. I used to use it all the time and it's fast and works great.

Thanks for the advice! Launcher Pro Plus does allow alternative actions when swiping a dock icon - so I currently have it set to view notifications when swiping up on the app drawer. +1 for alternative launchers!

Still, even if just for aesthetic purposes, I'd like to put a shortcut on my home screen.....

I believe both ADW and LP offer swiping on ANY homescreen to show notifications.

Also, you can create custom shortcuts with either of them, some with system info (maybe notifications ).

Couldn't you just push the menu button and then push notifications?

Edit: Never mind I just saw you don't like doing that.
