Trouble setting up work e-mail account...

I just switched from a Droid Pro to a Galaxy Nexus phone, and for the life of me I can't get my work (POP) e-mail to sync with it. I was able to set up other e-mail accounts (such at hotmail, etc.) without a hitch, but I've tried everything in setting up my work e-mail, to no avail. Basically, when I go to set up the account (with the exact same settings from my old Droid Pro phone), it will say 'waiting to sync' for roughly 30 minutes or so. After that, it will show that I'm connected but it won't sync the messages in my inbox and sent/received messages don't come through either. I'm not sure if this helps or not but, all of my e-mails go right to Outlook, where I receive/send from there.

Does your work use MS Exchange to host your email? More than likely ActiveSync will need to be enabled for you.
