Traveling to Mexico

I plan on taking my TB to Mexico with airplane mode on. Is there anything else I can do to the phone to make sure data and voice doesn't turn on? I'd hate to see those usage fees.

keep it in airplane mode and you can turn on wifi if there are hot spots around you. that's what i did when i went to cancun in december with my droid x.

The resort has a hotspot in the business center but I only want the phone for flight time, almost 4 hours and airport usage. This might be my breaking point to getting an extended battery today.

Nah if you keep it in airplane mode your battery will last you a while since it won't be searching for signal.
